“Design” is one of those real broad terms/concepts, that I believe is applicable to any/all art forms. From Concept Design, to Set/Space Design, to Clothing/Apparel. As with everything I do, I approach everything from a “Storyteller's Standpoint". “How do we convey/express an idea/concept/story through the clothing”?

From a Clothing/Apparel Standpoint, I've been fascinated with it since I was a kid (learning how to sew and knit as a kid and always enjoying to go to the fabric store with my stepmom). But it wasn't until “mybeautifuleyez”, that I started getting passionate about the creation of “Design”. My initial touch into the design waters came from the “MyScreaming3rdEye Patch”. I wanted to create some sort of physical media for people to support the project (since people don't buy cds anymore. Thanks Spotify/Apple), but I've always been wary of the “grossness” of the clothing industry (mass production waste and sweatshops aren't ideal). So if I was going to enter into the “Clothing Industry” I had to figure out a way for me to do it as ethically as possible (nothing in the world is perfect, but I always gotta be able to sleep at night). I always try to make everything as Ethically as possible. From sourcing locally, upcycling whenever possible, handmaking items as much as possible, making items to order and not over producing items. Believing in making custom items and “replicatable 1-of-1” items. This not only allows me to tailor items to the wearer, but also to tailor to story to the wearer all while staying as ethical as possible in the creation of the clothing. Win-Win.
