3 Step Centering Exercise to put yourself back into you.
*All steps should be done with purposeful intention and mindfulness*
Step 1: Centered

Sit in your "Good Posture" Position
- Sitting up in your chair (or on ground) straight backed (not leaning against anything)
- Take a few deep breaths
- Slowly and gently rock side to side (left to right) until you find your center (should feel like a "click" into place when you've found it)
- Next, from your same side-to-side centered position, slowly and gently rock from front to back until you find your center/mid-point
- Once you've found both center points (side-to-side and front-to-back) take another few deep breaths
Step 2: Illuminated

From your centered position, picture/imagine a column of light at the very center and core of your being. This light, this energy is the essence of you. Who you are in your truest form, without any outside influences, on all levels.
- You may find that is has a particular color, frequency, rhythm, etc.
- Sit with, and Breathe with, your column of light

Next, take this light and energy and illuminate your entire body and being

GO SLOW!!! Illuminate every single crevice of you.
- I like to start with my brain, starting with my prefrontal cortex (front of brain by forehead) and slowly work my way to my brainstem, down through my spine, torso, arms, legs, and through my toes. But again, GO SLOW.
- Let your mind wander, listen to and pay attention your thoughts, be with yourself and being on all levels.

GO SLOW!!! Illuminate every single crevice of you.
- Once you have Illuminated your entire being, sit with and breath again with yourself. Your truest self. You.
Step 3: Rooted
- Once you've found your true center position, and illuminated yourself fully with the "essence"/"light" of you, the last and final step is to root yourself. Not only rooting yourself in your current space and time, but also within yourself

From your same centered and illuminated position, just like roots of a tree, shoot the same light/energy you just filled your whole body with down into the ground through the bottoms of your feet.

Shoot your roots down through the floor, down through the earth, down to the Earth's core. Put your roots into the physical space you are occupying, rooting yourself into the very Here and Now that you are in.
- Once again, GO SLOW

Shoot your roots down through the floor, down through the earth, down to the Earth's core. Put your roots into the physical space you are occupying, rooting yourself into the very Here and Now that you are in.
- Once you have rooted yourself to the physical space that you are occupying in the Here and Now. Take those same roots and now root yourself into your "Column of Light" at your core (the same light you just illuminated your whole being with, but focus on rooting yourself into the core of that column of light)
Upon completion of all 3 steps, make sure you take a few deep breathes again, and feel yourself within yourself in the Here, Present, and Now.
